Well That was a fun game. And by fun I mean STRESSFUL LOL. But at the end of the day what matters most is the Chiefs got the win.
Offense.
Lets start by giving credit where credit is due. Cincy D is very good at making things tough on us. They have a number of games they have done this and you just have to tip your cap to them. They are pretty much to us what the Spaggs Giants teams were to the Pats. He knew how to stop them and they know how to stop us or at the very least slow us down more that anyone in the league.
Andy and Pat need to have a little chat. Pat is just trying to force things to a covered WR. And like I said last week he has the talent to hit that throw at times. But it's leading in INTs right now. And at some point they are going to cost you a game. Pat needs to calm down and get back to taking what the Defense gives you. That's when the team is at there best. And it keeps the defense off the field as well.
Carson Steele had a rookie moment when he fumbled. But he also showed why the Chiefs are so high on him. The dude runs hard. He is tough to bring down. How the hell does Veach keep finding these guys either late in the draft or in this case an undrafted free agent.
O line had some trouble today. It's early in the year and we have a couple of new guys it makes sense they would have a game like this early. Not over concerned with it at the moment but hopefully they learned a few things today.
Tip of the cap to Andy Reid on that big guy touchdown playcall. When those plays work they are really fun to see.
Defense
They had a lot of issues today. Guys were open they missed tackles. this was pretty much a typical early season game where our defense struggles. They will get better as the year goes so like the o line I am not worried.
Conor had a hell of a game. A scope and score and made another really nice play another young guy stepping up early. You love to see it.
Hey Jamar Chase hope you enjoy taking another L. Dude got away with pulling a defender down and the refs flagging the Chiefs and then wants to cry about what was NOT a hip toss. Thanks for the flag it was one of the reasons that you lost today. Hope you enjoy living with that. And I look forward to you continuing to make a fool out of yourself when you open you darn mouth.
As normal a Chiefs win comes with haters crying refs. I am loving hearing it from Cincy fans due to how much they like to talk along with their team. If they were nearly as good as they say they are they should be able to win no matter what the refs do. I may be a horrible person but I am enjoying their crying.
The Chiefs are 2-0 and now have the tiebreaker against both the Ravens and Bengals should that be an issue They have a lot to clean up but they still are now in prime position in the AFC. Lets keep it rolling GO CHIEFS!
