Well the season is now 2 weeks old and it has already been very interesting
The good
Saints: Well I don't think there were many people that had them starting 2-0. I know I didn't! Even more so after seeing they were playing the Cowboys who looked very impressive in week 1. But the bad Cowboys showed up and the Saints not only beat them but they took them to the woodshed. Sheesh Dallas did not show up. Even more of a surprise is how bad they made Dallas's defense look. That is supposed to be at the top of the league and after week 1 It looked like they very much were. Now there is some question about that. Was it just a one off time will tell. But man the Saints are a very nice surprise so far.
Vikings like the Saints are 2-0. Last week you may of though well they just beat the Giants. No so much this week as they took down the NFC champs 49ers. And they are doing it with Sam Darnold at QB. It's kind of nice to see a guy that many thought was a bust showing that sometimes it's the team around him that is the real bust. Darnold is getting another chance and so far through 2 weeks he is showing something. Good to see.
Marvin Harrison JR. Last week was a welcome to the NFL game for the kid. Having just a single catch for 4 yards. Man that didn't last long. He went off against the Rams. I didn't expect the Cardinals to win but they like the Saints just smashed L.A. Great bounce back for the rookie WR. That kid is going to be a problem now how far can Murry take them?
The Bad
The Panthers: No more needs to be said. WOOF
The AFC south. An entire division that has a combined 2 wins. And both wins are by the same team. WOW! Many thought that division was going to be a fun division and hey it's early it still might be. But at the moment it looks like the Texans might just run away with it.
The Ravens and Bengal are both 0-2. I don't know of anyone that thought that was going to happen. I just have a feeling that one of them is not going to be able to recover and make the post season. I am not sure which it is. But it might be one of the Chiefs biggest threats won't be there in January. I for one will not complain about that
The Giants like the Panthers WOOF. They play the Panthers this year so one of the two teams will likely get a win. Me being a horrible person I want a tie. I would love to see two 0-16-1 teams. And I can't say that's not possible seeing how the two teams look. The Giants at least were somewhat a challenge but then again they were just playing the Commanders.
Caleb Williams. Kid had so much hype coming into the NFL. I am going to be honest I never really bought into it. He just never really wowed me while he was at USC. All be it I don't follow college nearly as much as I do the NFL I just saw games where he looked average in college. He may turn it around it's just 2 weeks into his rookie season but I have see nothing to change my mind. There was some improvement this week. But man the Bears offense looks horrible.
Two weeks in and football is already surprising us. For me the season is already moving to fast LOL
