Well that was a stress free weekend of football for us. It was nice. Hopefully some guys healed up and we get right back to the grind this Sunday.
Another week of football in the books. Both the unbeatens had weeks off. So we still have two
Can we just laugh at the Cowboys? WOW they were bad. The Lions went into their house and put a whipping on them. Now the question for the Lions is how bad losing Hutch is going to hurt them. He is a key guy in their defense to say the least. So it was a costly win for them. They still are going to be a tough team to beat. And Goff looks like a brand new QB from what he did while with the Rams. It will be interesting to see where they go from here.
Caleb Williams is starting to really show some growth as a QB in the NFL. That is about as nice as I want to be to the Chicago Bears
On the other side of that game WOW the Jags are bad. I don't know if Pederson is going to make it to the end of the year or not. How did that guy win a super bowl. He is an upgrade from Urban Myer but not much of one as we are seeing. This is the biggest disappointment in the league so far.
The Bills got back on track against the Jets. And they just got Cooper from the Browns to help their WR core. Kind of a letdown because I was hoping we would be able to get Cooper. Cooper will get a new start and good for him. He had kinda checked out from Cleveland and it's hard to blame him with how that team looks. I thought the Bills might take a step back this year but to this point they are showing they are still going to be contenders. We might be seeing them again in January.
We get the niners this week and they are not the team that we thought they would be. They are really banged up and have a lot of key guys out. One thing that I do think is that Purdy is making a lot of people look like fools. Even with CMac out he is showing that he can still put points on the board. We are going to have our hands full this week and they will be a little extra motivated to beat us.
The Ravens do not look like the same team we saw in week 1. They started slow but they have rebounded. They have gotten Henry going and that has just made their offense much more of a threat. The good news for us is that we have shut down many good running games including Henry.
The Browns seem to be in sell mode. If I am them that's what I would be doing. They are just not going anywhere with Watson as their QB. I would tank and try to draft someone new. And then try to find a way ANYWAY to get out of that contract. I am not sure they will be able to without just eating that money. But I just don't see how they can keep going with him at QB after this year he has bee that bad. And to think I was mad at the Chiefs for passing on him to get Mahomes. LOL thank god I am not running the Chiefs
Speaking of selling the Raiders are also selling sending Adams to the Jets. I am not sure if that makes the Jets a real threat but maybe he and Rodgers can get rolling like they did in Green Bay so you can fault them for making the deal.
With the Adams trade it I am brought back to the preseason of 2022. The Chiefs had traded Hill the Donks were bringing in Wilson and the Raiders were brining in Adams and we were supposed to take a backseat in the division. Well how did that work out? And another reason why Brett Veach is the best.
On to another week of football. Lets hope the week off got some guys healthy and we see the best version of the Chiefs yet
